AI Kit Guides was created with one simple goal: to help everyday people navigate the rapidly evolving world of AI tools. The AI landscape moves fast — new tools launch every week, existing ones get major updates, and it's hard to know which ones are worth your time and money.

We cut through the hype and provide honest, practical, and beginner-friendly guides. No jargon. No fluff. Just clear, actionable advice you can use today.

Our Approach

Every article we publish follows three principles:

1. Honesty first. If a tool isn't worth your time, we'll tell you. If a competitor is better, we'll say so.
2. Practical over theoretical. We focus on real-world use cases, not academic discussions.
3. Accessible to everyone. You don't need a PhD in machine learning to use AI tools effectively.

Who We Are

Hi, I'm Peng Zhou. I'm a senior Java engineer who's been building software for over a decade — and like a lot of developers, I got curious when ChatGPT launched in late 2022. By early 2023, I was using it every day: drafting emails, debugging tricky code, and experimenting with API integrations that actually made my work faster.

Since then, AI tools have become a regular part of my workflow. Claude for code review, Midjourney for side project assets, and a growing list of smaller tools that each solve one specific problem well. I built this blog to document what I learn, in plain language, for people who want to use AI without needing a machine learning degree.

I'm not affiliated with any AI company. My reviews come from actually using the tools to build real things. Sometimes that means the tool works great. Sometimes it means I wasted three hours on a feature that didn't work as advertised — and I'll tell you about both.

When I'm not writing about AI tools, I build and ship my own side projects — and I document the unglamorous parts (deploying to Cloudflare Pages, setting up payments, going from prototype to production) over at ShipToCash.
